Are You Leading from the Inside Out?
As we approach the halfway mark of the year, I’ve been thinking deeply about what it means to lead—not just in title or role, but in spirit.
Leadership, as I see it, isn’t about controlling outcomes or commanding others. It’s about presence. It’s about creating space where others can grow, contribute, and feel seen. It’s about the quiet courage to lead from the inside out.
And perhaps most importantly, it’s about becoming the kind of leader the world actually needs right now—human, real, and grounded.
That’s what The Humanistic Leader is all about.
🌱 Leadership That Starts with You
When I first started writing this book, I thought I was creating a practical guide for leaders. What I didn’t expect was how much it would become a reflection of my own story—the mistakes, the breakthroughs, and the moments that changed me forever.
One such moment came during a coaching session years ago, when a young team member told me, “You didn’t try to fix me. You just listened. And that made me feel like I mattered.”
That’s what we forget sometimes: leadership isn’t about fixing—it’s about witnessing, encouraging, and guiding. That’s what I now call humanistic leadership.
It begins with self-awareness. It expands through systems thinking. And it shows up in how we lead, manage, coach—and simply treat other people.
